artist’s note

Born into a family where no one followed the artistic path, my path was very difficult and I had to learn everything by myself.

In Vietnamese society, the entrance exam to art schools is rarely supported, except that you were born in an artistic family, then the parents will direct us to apply for the professions of teachers, journalists, engineer, doctor. Me too, when I was studying for the art exam, my family stopped me and I convinced them to let me take the exam. As a result, I passed. When I entered university, I worked a lot to be independent, and to pay for tuition fees and drawing tools.

I have beautiful vibes towards my hometown, nature and people. I observe the daily changes in people's lives and psyche. My country with the ever-changing world, that's the material for me to create works

My country is a developing and integrated country, so I can observe that development through buildings, old buildings are being replaced by new ones under construction, children, new roads, new advertising signs, along with the introduction of foreign cultural flows and the rapid access of the younger generations, technology, information and fashion have all developed. Since then, people's living standards have been relatively developed, all needs have increased, both material and spiritual needs, besides full.

There are completely new invisible pressures among young people, they assert themselves by making efforts to study and get rich, new cultural flows help them to expand their knowledge, but because of pressure from society. It also makes them tired. In the past, people didn't need to pay much attention to those things, but lived a purely agricultural, more peaceful life.
