ACOPIA tributes K-POP's hottest boys ('With Luv') at special Live Cafe event

To be living in South Korea and not hear of BTS (Beyond The Scene, or ‘방탄소년단’) may be the modern equivalent of living in a basement with your ears blocked. The seven piece boy group has been sweeping up fans at home and abroad quicker than they can sneeze.

So it came as no surprise that the Asia Hope Camp Organisation’s intern team were the first to show interest in hosting a special edition of ACOPIA CAFE’S Live Cafe event, highlighting BTS’ newest comeback, Boy With Luv.

On the 12th of April, just on the backend hour of the BTS’ music video release, ACOPIA CAFE was brimming with keen BTS fans (or ARMY) ready to celebrate their successes. The event host and organiser, Asia Hope Camp Organisation’s Cyane Thomas, stood proudly to announce she was an avid “Suga stan”, and welcomed everyone warmly to the night.

The energy continued to buzz as fans were treated with performances by ACOPIA Trainees, Mingto and Katsuki. But perhaps the feature of ACOPIA CAFE’s main stage was rising star Yuuka, who smashed out a rendition of Mic Drop, solo style.

Alongside the performances, ARMY’s wits were tested during a game of ‘Guess The BTS Song’, giving them only two seconds of music to guess what the title may be. The guests showed a keen competitive nature, as expected of BTS’ passionate fans.

To wrap up the evening, a prize raffle was drawn, and everyone bonded over the ACOPIA style premiere of the new music video. The only sound in the room apart from the electro-pop notes of the K-POP group’s new song, was event organiser Cyane yelling out when her favourite member came on screen.

ACOPIA would like to thank all those who turned up to support the event, and hopes to see some familiar faces at the next Live Cafe.
