I’ve always been a rather shy and quiet person, but my time at ACOPIA gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone in ways I never expected. What first drew me here was the chance to live in Korea and contribute my design skills to something meaningful.
I’ve always loved visual design, and being able to use that talent to support K-pop trainees and ACOPIA’s projects felt like the perfect match. Even though I sometimes felt nervous about speaking up, the friendly atmosphere helped me gradually open up and gain confidence.
During my internship, I worked on design-related tasks such as creating promotional materials and supporting social media visuals.
I loved being able to combine creativity with purpose, especially knowing that my work could inspire future trainees or give them encouragement. I also enjoyed watching the lessons and seeing the passion of the students—it reminded me that even behind-the-scenes design work plays an important role in the K-pop world. One of the most moving moments was the final audition day. Seeing the trainees give their very best after weeks of preparation brought tears to my eyes. Their courage and dedication inspired me deeply and reminded me why I wanted to be here in the first place.
Life outside of work was also full of discoveries. I spent time exploring Seoul, trying new foods, and learning about Korean culture. One of the highlights was the language exchange with staff member Ina. Even though I was shy at first, our conversations quickly became fun and meaningful. We laughed, learned from each other, and created memories that I’ll carry with me for a long time
This internship has been more than just two months of work—it has been a journey of growth, creativity, and connection. For someone like me, who used to be hesitant and reserved, ACOPIA provided a supportive space where I could use my strengths, meet amazing people, and gain confidence. I’m deeply thankful for this experience, and I know it will continue to inspire me in everything I do.
