Hello everyone, my name is Fiona and I am French

I am graduated of a master in marketing and double languages applied (Chinese and English) in Jean Moulin University in France.

I want to work in the event or in the digital sector in Asia. I wanted to add an abroad experience on my curriculum vitae. After looking for internship abroad, I decided to join Acopia. I did this choice because Acopia can offer in the same time job experience in different fields (such as marketing, event, design, translation etc) and also provide you Korean class and activities to discover the country.

I did a 3 months (1st September 2019 to 15th December 2019) internship at Acopia.

I did 2 internships in an event and in a digital marketing agencies in Auckland, New Zealand. But working at Acopia is something unique! Acopia mixs perfectly the business and the friendly environment that I was looking for.

During those 3 months I learned a lot and being an intern at Acopia is very enlightening.

At Acopia, I was the digital manager. This means that I was taking care of all Acopia social network such as Facebook, Instagram, Weibo, etc. I had to create poster, edit photos and videos, take care of the Instagram feed, answer to DM and promote every Acopia programs.

I also takes care of the Global Audition program and promotion audition in Japan and in Malaysia.

I had the chance to go to Tokyo in October for the Acopia Global Audition

I took part of many activities related to K-pop. I had the opportunity to meet the girl group “Oh my girl” and to visit NDS Entertainment with Acopia trainee, Ririko.

I took part of Acopia Peace project. For this project 2 idols (one Japanese and one Korean) will sing together in Osaka the official Acopia song. I had the chance to spend time with the girls during their training.

During those 3 months, I have been for 4 days in Kumamoto for a workshop. This experience was one of the best memories I had at Acopia. During this workshop, we plan to launch a new program named “Acopia Friendship”. After the workshop, me and my colleague Nadia, created and managed the website of Acopia Friend. We also did the promotion on Facebook, Instagram and by contacted agencies.

In December 2019, I was promoted manager. That job was the most challenging for me. I had to take care and guide Acopia interns but also do my own daily tasks. But I learned so much during this period of time.

Through this internship I also be able to make friend from all over the world. We often went to restaurant together to enjoy delicious Korean food.

During my free time, me and my colleagues, we visited Hongdae areas. Doing an internship at Acopia is not only work in a Korean NGO it’s also discover a new country and a new culture.

Acopia organized often activities for Kpop school students, but Acopia interns can join them. During one of those activities I visited an incredible pink park. During those activities, we manage Acopia Interns tasks (ake videos and photos of Kpop school students) with having fun with students. Ii think, only Acopia can provide this unique and special work environment.

Overall my 3 months internship here in South Korea, working as an intern in a new country has changed me. I am more open to people, I challenged myself more but I also learned so much here. I had an amazing experience at Acopia but the adventure here is not done for me because, I decided to continue my adventure with Acopia for 7 months more. This time I will stay between January and the end of June at Acopia as a manager and project manager.

I hope I will continue to learn and live more amazing project with Acopia.
