FROM KOREA TO YOUR SCREEN
As the Hallyu wave picks up speed, ACOPIA’s novelty has caught the attention from across the Bering Sea. From New York’s concrete streets and lacing skyscrapers, the New York Post came to lend a curious eye to our staff and trainees, keen to know more about what makes ACOPIA tick.
What’s hot this week at ACOPIA? A haircut, a trip to Everland, and a shocking number of YouTube videos. Find out in our weekly round up!
At ACOPIA, many trainees and interns wear their love for K-POP girl groups on their sleeves. We’re talking TWICE, Blackpink, LOONA, EXID, Girls Generation, 2NE1 and enough names to make a personal essay about how much love goes around for their fellow girls. So when ACOPIA announced an all girl group themed LIVE CAFE, everyone was keen to get onboard.
This Monday night, it was the interns turn to take over ACOPIA’s dance studio in a bid to burn off some steam at the newest ACOPIA born event, K-DANCE CORNER.
On the 12th of April, just on the backend hour of the BTS’ music video release, ACOPIA CAFE was brimming with keen BTS fans (or ARMY) ready to celebrate their successes. The event host and organiser, Asia Hope Camp Organisation’s Cyane Thomas, stood proudly to announce she was an avid “Suga stan”, and welcomed everyone warmly to the night.
